A fierce competition between Team Fluff and Team Ruff during the 2022 Puppy Bowl took place Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. on Animal Planet and Discovery to help find forever homes for the puppies. Team Fluff won 69-66 after almost three hours of relentless competition.

The Puppy Bowl is a game played to raise awareness of pet adoption by gathering puppies to play on a small field. The goal of the game is for the puppies to bring the toys into their end zone. The puppy bowl includes playing, fighting, sleeping and snack breaks.

This year, more than 100 puppy players from 67 shelters and rescues from 33 states participated in this annual event to help promote pet adoption. There were nine special needs pups which played in the game this year, including Benny, being wheelchair bound, Moby with a cleft palate, and lastly Rocket, who is deaf.

The 2022 Puppy Bowl was hosted by Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg and overall ended in a success with all the puppy players finding their forever homes.
