RCMS band students held their assessment concert at Oakton High School on Feb. 29. All students and parents were able to attend the concert with no payment.
The concert, held in the gym, consisted of songs including “Night Fury,” “The Legend of The Yankee Clippers” and “Union March.”
One week after the concert, the band students will have their assignment concert, which will give them a score from 1-5 and rate their performance.
This concert is the SOL for the band.
The students will also have to sight read and then play a song that they have never played in their life.
