RCMS students and teachers enjoy a wide variety of summer vacations. While some go to the beach others might go to a lake house or even visit another country.

Mr. Brian Corman, an eighth-grade civics teacher on the Explores team, will go to Colorado for about five to seven days to see his parents and his sister. Then after that he will go to a high school reunion.

Anjay Kannan of the Wolves team went somewhere more tropical — Hawaii. On his trip, he went to see Beach Maui and Oahuand surf. He usually goes to Hawaii for two weeks.

“Surfing is one of my favorite things to do,” he said. “My dream vacation is always Hawaii because I enjoy surfing there and I like the warm climate.”

He plans to go to Hawaii this year as well.

Another person who is going to Some place tropical is Artem Godlevsky. He will go to Mexico for two weeks with his mom, dad and sister.  On his trip he plans to visit Iceland’s City cocoon and the beach.

MD Jawad of the Legacy team plans on going to Kings Dominion this summer with his friends and parents. He wants to go on as many rides as he can.

“I am going to the scariest rides such as Dominator and intimidator,” he said.

Visiting monuments is a good chance for sightseeing.  Abhay Archarya of the Champions team will go to London to see Big Ben. He plans to explore the city and stay there for around 10 days.

“I am pretty excited about it, ” said Abhay. “I am going on the airplane and that is my favorite part of the trip.”

Heathcliff Herndon of the Trail Blazers team went to Germany last year with his mom and grandma to see castles. While on his trip his grandma paid for the wrong hotel and they had to rent a second. This year he plans to go to France, Holland, Belgium and southern England.

While Heath was in Germany, Krish Gupta of the All Stars team was in India.

Last year he traveled to India so he could spend time with his grandparents.

On his trip he went horseback riding.

“It was really fun, the horse was cool,” he said.
