National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), is holding the award ceremony for eighth-graders on Tuesday, May 28, at 6 p.m. at RCMS for fulfilling the NJHS service requirements.
Members who are invited to the award ceremony completed 10 extra service hours at an FCPS school or FCPS held event. They have to maintain a constant GPA of 3.5 or above and continue to demonstrate the qualities of leadership, character, citizenship and service.
People in NJHS can invite their family to attend the ceremony. Students in NJHS who aren’t attending the ceremony are supposed to email Ms. Annie Thrasher or Mr. Mark Grant to schedule another time to receive their service medal.
NJHS was first established in 1929 as the nation’s way to recognize middle school students. Those in NJHS distinguished themselves outstandingly to people in their school and community.
Members of NJHS hope to use NJHS in college applications, The National Honor Society (NHS), and to meet new people with similar goals.
