Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is thinking about retirement after a big hit on Sept. 12.
The hit was worse than some people thought. This is his third concussion in the past two years. Dr. Ramon Diaz-Arrastia says two or more concussions is too many concussions for a NFL QB. Tua has doubled that.
If Tua retires this would be difficult for the Dolphins. The QB is the most important position and leader of the team and it would really hurt the Dolphins if they had to get rid of Tua. Without a good QB the Dolphin stars like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle might leave the team. The Dolphins lost their first game without Tua 24-3.
Tua was the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft. His best season was last year throwing 4624 yards and throwing 29 touchdowns. He was a 4-star recruit out of high school and went to a to college for football, Alabama.
