New Google Doodle games have been released, adding more fun to the collection of games.
Doodles are little games or pictures commemorating certain special events. Google changes its logo to do this.
Virginia Anseloni-Dias, 11, of the Trailblazers team, says, “I just love Google Doodles.”
Three new Google Doodle games were released within the months of September to October. The first one, “Celebrating Popcorn, was released on Sept. 25. The second, released on Oct. 24, was the “Rise of the Half Moon” Doodle.
The third, the “Halloween 2024” Doodle, was released on Oct. 31.
The “Celebrating Popcorn” Doodle was created to celebrate the largest popcorn machine ever made. It is team based, and is played with 60 players to reach the final of four levels. The levels include a stick of butter, a salt shaker, a fire, and a microwave, where the player dodges projectiles.
Kamila West, 12, of the Champions team said that she likes the popcorn Doodle because it is challenging.
“I just like the vibe,” said Kamila.
The “Rise of the Half Moon” Doodle, is a card game against the half moon.
When asked what Doodle the half moon Doodle relates to, Gage Mastroianni, 13, of the Voyagers team says, “The bean one.”
After explaining, he says that the bean one means Loteria, an older card game Doodle.
On Nov.21, the November update came out for this Doodle.
Gage said that his favorite was the “Halloween 2024” Doodle.
“It’s action packed,” he said.
The last Doodle is the “Halloween 2024” Doodle.
Previously, two other Halloween Doodles related to the “Halloween 2024” Doodle were released, making this the third Doodle to the magic cat series. You fight against more ghosts like the previous two games, and defeat them by drawing symbols. The difference is, to fight the final boss, you team up with Marshmallow the Ghost, your previous enemy.
Radhika Deshpande, 13, of the Dolphins team says that she loves the Doodles. Radhika likes how they are not blocked, and thinks they are a good way to pass the time.
Radhika says that she has never met a teacher who is okay with students playing games in class.
“I think it will make them more distracted and less focused,” says Gage.
Gage also says that teachers will not be okay with playing Doodles in school.
Virginia says that teachers may not enjoy the Doodles as much, as students could get distracted, but the teachers could also play during their free time.
New Doodles come out almost every day, and there are some ideas.
“A first person shooter game,” says Gage.
Radhika says that she would like a game that is interesting, colorful, and not too addicting.
Kamila says that she would like a game that people can play with other players.
Virginia would like to have a “catch and stack the presents” game for Christmas.
