Teachers and students are enjoying the new iPhone 16 that came out on Sept. 20.
The iPhone 16 looks like an older model, the iPhone 11, but there are some differences. Instead of the A13 Bionic Chip on the iPhone 11 we now have an A18 Chip on the iPhone 16, which is way more powerful.
This iPhone has five different colors to choose from — ultramarine, teal, pink, black and white. It also has better battery life. It has a camera button, and compared to other Apple iPhone, it has upgraded camera quality.
This iPhone has made people think about wanting to upgrade their phone.
“I’m planning to upgrade soon,” said Ms. Corinne Lagoy, special education teacher.
The next phone that is being created, the iPhone 17, will be released in September 2025. This iPhone will have more upgraded features than the other iPhone models. It 17 will have a bigger screen and the size of this phone will be 6.3 inches. This iPhone also will have an A19 Bionic chip with a RAM of 8GB.
Some students said they were looking forward to better camera quality than the recent iPhone models.
“I am hoping that the camera and storage is better, and I hope that Apple didn’t just change the looks of it,” said Owen Pellerin, 13 years old, Majestics.
Dr. Lagoy is also hoping that some features on the Apple watch will come to the iPhone 17.
“I want something like a button to press to redial to make life easier… and I’m hoping for focus to be used easier, and the walkie talkie feature that is on apple watch,” she said.
Kaitlyn Rowe, 12 years old, Majestics, chose the brand Apple for her phone because she doesn’t like Samsung.
“I don’t like Samsung,” she said.
Subarna Dhevraj, 12 years old, Trailblazers, agreed.
“I choose the iPhone over any brand for phones because it is more reliable,” she said.
