The Virginia ROGUE travel softball team held their spring tryouts for interested players on the afternoon of March 2, in Ashburn’s SixFour3 training facility.
The organization has four divisions to accommodate each player’s experience and age range. ROGUE’s teams, which include 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U/18U, are coached by instructors that have lots of knowledge about the sport.
“What I love most about the game is that the game doesn’t know who is supposed to win,” said coach Sue Enquist (former UCLA Head Coach) on the ROGUE website, demonstrating the importance that the league places on teamwork and sportsmanship.
ROGUE coaches, who include Jim Nelson, Mike Hedrick, Emma Hodge, and DaeShonna Beckham, have a passion for softball and guiding young players through their sports careers.
Coach Mike claims that ROGUE provides players with “opportunities to build their self-confidence, leadership skills, sportsmanship, and fitness in a competitive team environment.”
