The NFL’s annual 2025 draft starts April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The draft is where there are seven rounds for all of the college seniors to get drafted. There are 32 picks in each of the seven rounds. All of the 32 teams get an estimate of two minutes to draft a player to their team.
The coaches of all 32 teams pick a player that they believe will improve their team and that will help them win a championship.
Before the draft there is something called the NFL combine, where all of the college seniors who played a position in college showcase their talents for that position that they played in college. It also boosts their draft stock.
And another thing they do before the draft is called a mock draft. A mock draft is a thing where all the NFL reporters or ESPN analysts predict what top five players of the draft class will get drafted to what team.
Top prospects get drafted in the first round. The top three first round draft picks of the draft get the most money in salary cap and they get bonus money if they do something good in the actual season.
