On May 31, Rachel Carson will be attending the 2025 Spring FCPS Middle School Track and Field Championships. This meet will take place at Robinson Secondary School.
Carson’s Track and Field coaches are Mr. Mark Bolt and Mr. Roger Tiangco.
The county wide Track and Field meet allow students in middle schools to compete in the following events (in the order that they will occur):
- 1600-meter run
- 100-meter dash/sprint
- 400-meter dash/sprint
- 800-meter run
- 200-meter dash/sprint
- 4 by 400 meter relay
- Shot Put and Long Jump (will occur anytime during the meet)
Athletes had to meet or exceed various time or distance requirements in order to attend the Championships. Also, the coaches were able to select two athletes from the Girls Team and two from the Boys Team that would compete in each event, to have enough members that would represent Carson at the meet.
In total, there will be 11 Carson athletes participating in the Championships, seven representatives on the Girls Team and four on the Boys Team. Their results will be tracked on https://results.windsorrunning.com/meets/54011 once the competition has concluded.
