“I really want to go to Seoul,” says Isabel Descaire, an eighth grader on the Dolphins.
According to travel.aaa.com, by 2027, the U.S. travel industry will make $279 billion annually.
“My favorite vacation?” Mrs. Aubrey Darling on the Dolphins team asked. “Well I would have to say my trip to France I took when I was 18.”
Mrs. Darling is much of a traveler as she says, “My husband wants to go [to Japan] but generally, I enjoy traveling. I like learning about different cultures and languages.”
Mrs. Darling’s summer vacations usually consist of her working, at summer school or doing stuff like the VIP program. She also has fun with her husband like escape rooms or going to the library.
“I remember that on one of our day-citations we found a cat and adopted it,” said Mrs. Darling.
Another person who loves to travel is Suvan Sharma, an eighth grader on the Voyagers team.
“My favorite vacation was probably my trip to Cancún,” Suvan started, “or my trip to Jamaica.”
Suvan’s family travels very often due to the fact that most of them live out of the country.
“Yeah we travel two to three times a year,” he said.
Along with Suvan, Isa loves to travel and she often travels to Spain to visit her grandparents.
“I’m going to Spain [over the break] to visit some family,” she said.
The one place she wants to go the most is Korea, she said.
“I really want to go to Seoul,” Isa stated. “I love their convenience stores and I just want to go sightseeing.”
Isa’s been to so many places, like Costa Rica.
“[My favorite vacation was] Costa Rica, because we did a bunch of things there, that was also the last time I saw my brother [before he went to college],” Isa continued. “There was so much good food, and a bunch to see over there.”
