Reminiscing Hunters Woods
Elementary School was a chapter in our lives that helped us learn lessons and create memories. Even though we’re all in middle school now, we still carry memories from that time in our lives. For more than 150 seventh graders, they carry memories of Hunters Woods Elementary School. As Hunters Woods graduates ourselves, a survey was conducted to see what were the different HWES graduates’ favorite memories, opinions, adn what they miss most.
A favorite memory that a lot of people had was the STARS (Student Theatre Arts Reflective Spectacular) Performance or 6th grade party, along with a broad majority of people answered that 6th grade was their favorite year at HWES. By far, the trends were the most diverse. A lot of people had different points of views on what they didn’t miss, so we’ll show a few examples (down below). Some were more specific than others, but nothing else would be expected from our… interesting class of 2016. Both of us enjoyed reading your responses, and greatly appreciate most (most) of your opinions and responses. Understandably, there was some unneeded trash(and trolling) in there, but we didn’t mind reading them. Once again, we appreciate the hilarious responses, and hope you enjoy seeing the general results, and some of the pictures we took. Thank you to all the Panther Time teachers that let us take some of the HWES students into the hallways and pods to take pictures. There are also graphs of the responses we received for the multiple choice questions.
There were some short answer questions on the survey. People answered what they do miss, what they don’t miss, and their favorite memories. These are some of the responses we gathered from the process. There will not be any names, just their favorite memories and their opinions.
And now, some quotes, from your ‘fellow peers’;
What do you guys miss?
“EVERYTHING!! The teachers and the [boring] stuff we did… you know what I mean.”
“I miss the students because they were all kind and respectful.”
Favorite Memory?
“Court Trial with Mr. Hunt”
“Rubik’s Cubes”
In the end, opinions of the HWES students varied, and writing this was a huge throwback to the HWES years! A big thank you to the 59 people that participated in the survey
