New AP
Ms. Oh is the newest assistant principal of RCMS. Though she already introduced herself to many of you we wanted to make sure that you really get to know her.
Ms. Oh was born in Korea but grew up in Argentina. Then, in sixth grade she moved to West Virginia and lived there for half a year then moved to Virginia. When she was in middle school the technology was very different, only a few classrooms had two to three CPU’s, if any. After high school she went to University of Mary Washington to get her bachelor’s then to George Mason to get her masters. Her closest family members are her husband, her parents, an older brother and her chihuahua, Kiki.
We asked her what she would change about RCMS and she said she would like more lunch options. She often hears students wishing for more alternatives and she feels the same. Her favorite FCPS lunch when she was a student was the steak and cheese, unfortunately it is no longer offered. Then we asked her what her childhood dream was and she said that she always wanted to be a teacher and that she was a middle and high school Spanish teacher a few years ago. The last question we asked Ms. Oh was what she liked and disliked about the winter and she said that she doesn’t like the cold and the shorter days.
If you see Ms. Oh in the hall, be sure to say hello and maybe tell her a bit about you. She loves meeting and getting to know every student.
