Going Green Club enters Caring for our Watersheds contest

The RCMS Going Green Club is once again entering the “Caring for our Watersheds” competition this month.

In this contest, groups of four to seven students research ways to help preserve and protect nature.

Students from the range of fifth to eighth grade can enter, and they will electronically send their ideas to reviewers.

The deadline for entries is March 13. The reviewers then choose the top ten, and the top ten will then go to George Mason University to present in front of four judges on their project.

Dozens of other schools are entering the contest as well.

The winners will receive up to $1,000, and that money will go towards supporting and funding their projects.

Caring for our Watersheds is a part of a bigger project called Student Environmental Action Showcase.
