Registration begins for world language exam
Registration is open until Oct. 13 for students to register to take the World Language Exam to earn credits. This test will be held Nov. 16-18 in multiple locations.
Students in grades 7 to 12 are eligible to take this test if they can read, write, and speak in another language. Through this exam, students can earn credits for the Advanced Studies Diploma, which requires 3 credits for a Language.
Students should register through their counselor. Late admissions are not accepted.
This test can be taken at Robinson secondary school on Nov. 16, Centreville High School on Nov. 17, and Edison High School on Nov. 18. The testing hours at these schools are all from 4 to 7:45 p.m.
When you arrive at the location, bring some type of ID like a passport, school photo ID, driver’s license and a yearbook picture with the name of the student.
Students are expected to write at least three cohesive paragraphs for the essay. The assessors are looking for fluency for giving credits so the credits you get are entirely dependent on the way your paragraph is written. You can earn up to 3 credits in this exam.
