Marvel Phase 4 has started and is releasing movies, starting in 2021. There have been new movies that have come, will come, and lots of excited fans.

After the pandemic started, most movie filming had to be put on hold. Not long after, they were able to film and since then have been coming out.

“I’m very excited for them and I can’t wait!” Ashdeep Kaur, of Chantilly, said.

Ashdeep talked about some of her thoughts on the upcoming movies, and we asked what she was most looking forward to in the coming films.

“Probably the Hawkeye show or Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, because it just has- in the Multiverse of Madness- one of my favorite characters, Wanda Maximoff. And the Hawkeye show, I just like Hawkeye and it looks really interesting.”

Another opinion we got from seventh grader Adithya Tegginahalli, of the Trailblazers team, said, “I would like to see Moon Knight, and She Hulk sounds pretty cool too, always a character I liked. The premise is cool, a 7 foot tall person navigating the workforce.”

Those are just some of the upcoming Phase 4 films! Coming up is:

  • Hawkeye (2021)
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2020)
  • Spiderman: No Way Home (2021)
  • Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

There are also more to come later in 2023. Here are some that have already come out for Phase 4:

  • Black Widow (2021)
  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
  • Wandavision (2021)
  • Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
  • Loki (2021)
  • What if…? (2021)
  • Eternals (2021)

The Rotten Tomatoes rating for a few MCU movies are Avengers: Endgame got 90% average audience score (AAS). Loki got 90% AAS. Spiderman: Far From Home got 95% AAS. Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse got 93% AAS. Those are just a few of the films and their rating, if you want to see more, go to rottentomatoes.com and search for your favorite movies or TV shows.

The Marvel Phase 4 timeline mostly begins after Avengers: Endgame, however some films take place in the past or in alternate realities where we learn more on the characters’ personalities and background. Since the MCU slate is more focused on introducing new concepts and characters, fans should expect to see different, new, and exciting characters and concepts in the future.

But, throughout these new films being released, many fans are upset over the large delay that occurred because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Every time I get ready to watch it, but then I see the news and my heart breaks,” Adithya said. “I don’t like having to wait.”
