Students raise money to fight cancer
The TSA club raised over $1,000 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through bake sales that wrapped up on Valentine’s Day.
On Feb. 14, members of the TSA club were anxious but excited for their last day of selling their homemade baked goods to the RCMS students. The club spent time making many different types of brownies ranging from Oreo to s’mores and even cheesecake. There were sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies, plus many different flavors of cupcakes. Along with desserts, they sold sodas and juices. Members of the club were very excited to see how much they could sell on their last day.
To keep the bake sale as organized as possible, everyone in the club had a specific job they had to do. One person was handling money and making sure that they got the right amount of money and making sure they gave the right amount of change back. Two more members were in the front asking students what they wanted to buy and making
sure everyone got the right dessert or drink. Next two people were passing the desserts and drinks to the members in the front. Last person was going around school with a bake sale sign taped to their shirt for advertising.
The TSA club was joyful after finding out that they raised over $1,000, and couldn’t wait to donate the money to
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The club members were proud of themselves for selling baked goods to make the world a better place.
