Carson’s Got Talent is accepting submissions of students’ talent
The deadline for Carson’s Got Talent has been extended to Feb. 25 for students to submit their talent.
Carson’s Got Talent is a place for students to express themselves and show a talent that represents them. Students who wish to participate should send their applications to Ms. Thrasher with a brief description of their talents and about themselves in the form located in Schoology under Carson Student Central.
The 2022 Talent Show is to be broadcasted between March 14 to March 18 in Panther Time.
Students who participate must check their FCPS email regularly to ensure that the SCA has approved their talent. Once their talent has been approved, students will have until March 7 to record and submit a video up to a maximum of 5 minutes.
Videos may be rejected if they are too long or inappropriate for school. Those students will have a chance to record another video.
Last year there were a lot of submissions including magic, guitar, and singing performances. This year, eighth grade student Brandon Lin says, “I expect even more than the hundreds received last year because we are now in person!”
At the same time Akhil Angajala, an eighth-grade student, says, “I’m not sure if there will be a lot of submissions this year due to insecurities people face about how they look without a mask.”
Last year, Carson’s Got Talent was shown in Panther Time and students voted on which submissions were their favorites for certain categories including funniest and the most difficult.
“We are expecting to see many more amazing talents this year!” says Akhil.
If you have any questions about the talent show, email Ms. Thrasher.
