Two students from RCMS received awards from the 2023 Regional Scholastic Writing Awards on Feb. 21 out of the total 213 awards received by FCPS students, coming from 27 different schools in our area.

The two RCMS students include Raina Gao, who received a Silver Key award for her short story, “A Day Too Late,” and Christina Park, who received an Honorable Mention for her humor piece, “Dogter Evil.”

The Regional Scholastic Writing Awards accept all different genres of writing, including, flash fiction, novel writing, humor, personal memoirs, dramatic scripts, journalism, and critical essays.

The awards you can receive for your writing include Gold Keys, Silver Keys, and Honorable Mentions.
