Rachel Carson Middle School celebrates its 25th anniversary on April 28 to celebrate the school’s legacy. In case of cancellation the celebration date will be moved to May 5.

Rachel Carson Middle opened for its first day of school on Sept. 8, 1998. Originally, RCMS started out with only 835 students, but over time, the student population has almost doubled in size, and now there are over 1,474 students.

The celebration is arranged by Tami Randolph and the rest of the PTA. If you would like to volunteer or propose ideas for the celebration, you can visit the PTA website. The PTA is currently in need of a co-lead, a food volunteer and an activities volunteer.
