Trailblazers teachers won the best Halloween costume title on Nov. 4 with their Brawl Stars costume.
“We get competitive,” Ms. Sharri Clifford said.
The Halloween costume contest is an annual contest that takes place in RCMS where teams dress up in themes to compete for the “Best Costume” of the year title. This year, it took place on Halloween Colors Day on Oct. 31.
Leigh Toweson, a Trailblazer English teacher, also had revealed that Mario Brothers was done in years prior.
“Legacy team was creative,” she started, “but Mario Brothers was not exactly original.”
Gina Barylski, a seventh-grader on the Majestics team had not voted but was not expecting the Trailblazers to win the contest.
“I think Legacy looked cooler and better,” Gina said. “I think Trailblazers won because they were maybe the only team that knew how to vote. Sorry, Trailblazers.”
Sharri Clifford, a Trailblazer history teacher, the person who thought of it all had said they have had a winning steak and will make sure it continues that way. She also revealed that her sons and their friend’s obsession with Brawl Stars inspired her, despite never playing it before.
“Trailblazers have a history of winning,” she said, “and we look forward to defending it next year.”
Kylen Mckinney, a seventh-grader on the Legacy team was a bit disappointed but thought it was a good game.
“I think the Legacy team was creative,” Kylen said, “but I think it was fair game.”
Ji Dalkin, a seventh grade Dream team Algebra teacher believed they did not win due to the short amount of time and also had some differences of opinion on who she thought would win.
“We didn’t have time this year,” Mrs. Dalkin said. “But we will definitely win next year. Watch out, Trailblazers.”
